Splish splashing...

Griffin used to paw the water out of his water bowl until it was empty. Thankfully he's stopping doing that indoors (constantly mopping the kitchen was getting tiring), and now will now only do it when he's outside drinking out of his "outdoor" bowl. Well, we went to our first puppy class on Saturday and there was a water bowl out for the pups to drink out of during play time. All the other puppies were so polite taking their drinks and then continued playing. Griffin went to drink out of the bowl and I just KNEW what he was going to do. I corrected him, the trainer corrected him, and finally the water bowl had to be taken away. :icon_redface: There's a giant puddle of water on the floor, my dog is all wet, and no more water for other pups to have. However, all the other puppy owners thought it was hilarious. I'm so glad the rest of the class has a good sense of humor!

I'm pretty sure my boyfriend has video taped him emptying his outdoor water bowl, so I'll see if I can find it and upload it.

They really are water dogs, aren't they...

LOL! Yep, Newfs love their water:) We had Max at a local dog event a few years ago and they had a small kiddie pool filled for drinking. Max decided he needed to cool off and proceeded to step in to cool his feet:)

I know what you mean! Boaz is a water hogger. He will wrap his arms around the bowl and refuses to share.
This is Thor. I will push him out of the way so that our cat Zeus can get a drink when he wants some. I think Thor has finally understood that there will be more water and has to share.

Ours love there water, they all try to get it as it's being poured into the bowl. I get it tastes better in the air on the way to the bowl.

Mine did this too as a pup. I squashed it by placing the water bowl into one of those elevated drinking/eating stations.

Moby ended up with a separate bowl of water and a "Caution Wet Floor" sign at obedience in hotter weather. Between sticking his head in the bowl, dripping and actually drinking he would empty the bowl at one break. Love summer time as he has is wading pool to drink from other than his view of a proper drink is to start on one side and slowly walk across the pool while drinking. Some days we need the "Caution Wet Floor" sign in or kitchen.
