Sitting on the grooming table

Any advise on how to get Taver to stop sitting when ever I try to brush/comb/de-mat his rear? Touching his hind end is obviously not something he wants me to do. It currently takes two people to get that end. Surely there is some trick I am missing.

I think there is a waist belt you can purchase, which helps keep the back end up. You might have to buy an extend arm but I'm sure the groomers will chime in with details.

I actually just use a tool box on the table between the front and rear legs and every time he goes to sit there is a box there so he can't and he'll remain standing.

Hmmm, why have I never thought of something like that??? **Note to mind** to remember that next time I'm grooming and need to keep him standing...thanks Kaila :)

.....you mean I'm the only one who follows the dog around the front yard to brush out their back legs and tail?!? Grooming isn't a contact sport?!? My whole life is a lie!

At least he's just sitting! lol, Mine will lay on the table if I don't use a grooming arm. I use a cardboard box filled with old shipping "peanuts" if I need them to stand. Anything that's the right height will work.

I can't take full credit for this idea.... I saw it at a dog show and thought "that will work!!" Up until that point I just cursed a lot every time Boum was on the grooming table. :p
