Shedding for how long?

My 11 month old Bernese bitch is in the second week of her first heat cycle. She began shedding a couple of weeks prior.

How long will it be until she starts to re-grow coat following her cycle?

Haven't a clue about Berners... It varies with Newfs.

It can take several weeks for a bitch to lose her coat and several months for it to come back in. At this age, she could also be losing her puppy coat too.

Yes, she is just now shedding her puppy coat. For whatever reason, she didn't lose the puppy coat at 4-5 months and just seemed to maintain and grow more puppy fluff.

I'm guessing she'll shed for two to three weeks after she goes out of heat.
