She is back!!

After all the nice and compassionate messages I am feeling a little odd about this message but thought everyone would want to know how much the helped me through a rough decision. Tica went yesterday to her new home and this morning they phoned to say they had received some unpleasant medical news that put their ability to commit to Tica at risk and they thought it would be better for her to come back right away so it wouldn't be to tramatic on Tica. Well when Newf rescue phoned to say they had a home I was hit with indicision and was hoping for some sign to show me what to do. I think this is the sign that I should keep her. The dog seems to be completely changed in the last 24 hours. is quiet, focused, not begging for food in fact sleeping almost ever since she came home. I am going to take the advise of quite a few people and see if I can find a trainer to help us. The lady also gave me a lot of tips on what to allow and how to be dominate to her.
It was so nice of every one to be so supportive and I will likely be back asking for help with special problems but this feels better than giving her away did.

Sunny! That's great! I bet with some training, she'll be fine. It seems that maybe both of you had to experience what you did to make some changes. I'm so happy for you. It sounds like it's going to work out. Yeah!

I am so EXCITED! I really hope everything works out. It just hurts my heart when we have to lose one of our pets or one of them loses a home that they have grown to love.

Please keep us posted on TICA's progress.

Again, I am so happy-please give TICA a big hug from me and Newman

Hi Sunny,

well maybe it is a blessing in disguise. All you can do is keep trying with TICA.

A good trainer should be able to help you out.

And never feel bad about asking questions in relation to problems, I've asked a million or so here and gotten lots of help, sometimes it seems like the only place you can expect honest, straightforward, helpful answers from.

Hi Suny,
I agree that is a sign that you are to keep TICA. With training I bet that she will learn to live peacefully with your other dog.

Good Luck

That is great news! A trainer sounds like an excellent idea. TICA just wants to be shown what to do and having a professional there to help you show her seems like the best course to take if you're going to keep her. There may be issues with your Newfy that you don't know about that need to be worked through.

Good luck and let us know your progress!

TICA apparently is smart enough to know that you mean business now and that if she doesn't behave she will not have the privelege of living with you. Sounds like she knows a good thing when she sees it. Hang in there. lol

Maybe it really is fate and the two of you were ment to be together. I'm sure that you'll learn so much by your life together. A trainer really seems like a great idea.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out great

I hope everything goes well with TICA. I'm a firm believer of obedience training. Maybe she'll feel special that she's being trained and settle in and truly become a member of the household. Wishing you success!!

Judy, hi! So good to see you posting... How is Tica doing now? Have you had any luck finding a trainer or class? Please do call if there is anything at all I can do for you. Give Tica a big hug for me!
