Family is safe. House undamaged. Curfew for our neighborhood remains in effect. Have been asked to stay put so emergency help and clean up can get through. Many neighbors a few blocks to the south have lost everything. Please pray for them as many are elderly and have health issues, no home and no transportation.

This is truly a tragedy, and I'm glad to see the government is taking this more seriously - or responding more proactively - than they did Katrina.

Keep safe.

Good to hear each of you as check in from the sites there. If must stay-put..and I can understand that..are you able to do any cooking..IE is there power? or can you offer some sorts of 'bridging' help..from where you are, and where the cleanup/rescue crews are moving? This is educational to us all..as to know what one can offer/do..from the family/individ. standpoint..when restricted..to ones one property. Stay well..pace yourself. ina n HB

Glad to hear you are oK. My brother lives in Edgewater...not too far from you and I was grateful to hear he was OK as well.
