Road trip help

Hello,
I need some help, and I know this is the best place to find it! I will be going on a work related road trip the last week of August. We will be traveling from Burton, Ohio to Halstead, Kansas. Along the way I will be tent camping with one Newf. I am looking for help finding a dog friendly campsite near Effingham, IL for the first nights stop.
Then another near Halsted, Kansas for a couple of days. I plan on traveling mainly on route 70 to get there. One whole week traveling with my girl, does it get any better?

Tracy....KOA campgrounds almost always accept pets. In Illinois, there's a KOA by Casey, IL and campgrounds all along 70 in Kansas. Not sure where Halsted is.
