friends from Slidell who evacuated to Texas during Katrina...have been back in Slidell only a few days, and are staying...except John's job is now operating out of Houston...from which he tried to evacuate yesterday, eventually turned back and is riding out the storm in his apartment there...we are not happy campers now. Again, what a mess...and the "ding dang" (to quote SAR) levy is overflowing...This is not a good year for this country!
