Raised Dog Beds?

Winnie loves to get on the recliners. She climbs right up and lays down. I'd like to keep her off so she doesn't ruin the chairs. She does have a regular dog bed in the room but she would rather be like the rest of the humans and sit in a chair.

I have been thinking of getting a cheap love seat or some kind of raised dog bed. Has anyone gone this route? Any suggestions would be good.

The less jumping up and down off the furniture the better it will be on his hips in the future. Skip the recliner and try to get him interested in his bed on the floor.

Bri seems to prefer the hardwood floor or crate pad to any kind of furniture.

Maybe one of the raised cot-type beds, with some blankets on it to give some extra padding? It wouldn't be the same as a chair, but maybe she'd be content with that.

We have had a raised dog bed for several years that both the dogs love. This one is made by coolaroo and we have just ordered a replacement cover because it has just started to sag in the middle after almost 7 years of use.

Ooooh, that's a nice raised bed! Geez, makes me think I should invest in one. All of the raised beds I've seen were pretty boring. Durable, but not too pretty.

We bought a used love seat off craigs list. Cheaper than most of the dog beds. Not really an issue for them getting on it, they just step up.

We caved and just let her on the couch. Maggie's spot has a blanket covering it, and her own pillow. She's fully grown so just steps up and down. She really only sits there in the fall/winter. She gets too hot in the summer.

We have the coolaroo raised bed but we really only use it for camping, etc. She likes it a lot though. However, it wouldn't do us much good in the house because she thinks she IS a human and therefore entitled to sit on the couch.

Oh well....

My Newf loves her bolster dog bed !!! It is an XXL so she can stretch out and lay side ways or upside down on her back. When she gets hots she eventually goes to the hardwood floor or cermanic tile, but at 8 yrs old she does have a little trouble getting up from there vs her bed.

we have one of these at our beach cottage. It's nice and cool and must feel like a hammock. Both dogs like it. I think I got it on Amazon.

Bernie's bed came yesterday and it's a big hit with him,since he's had it,he's used it more than his plastic bed,wished I had got it sooner lol
