Puppy Visit

We got to visit the puppies today! Still not sure which will be coming home with us, but we met the two possibilities!

Here are some photos from Facebook. I'm not sure how to add them to a post here. They're 6.5 weeks old (born right before Thanksgiving) and they're all landseers in the litter, although these two are particularly dark landseers, I think. We're still waiting to find out which we'll bring home (someone else gets to choose first). They're both so cuddly, and as I held them it was all I could do to breathe for all the kisses they were giving my face! I do have a preference, but I don't want to jinx it, so I won't say which. :) However it turns out, though, I'll be delighted!

Ooooh puppies! I think you need to change your fb privacy settings for these photos though. I couldn't see them.

Do you have names in mind?

Our pup is just a bit younger I think but he's a big boy.

Congratulations!

I changed the privacy settings for the individual photos to "Public" so I hope that makes the difference.

Thank you! We do have a name picked out. To be truthful, we picked it out in February of 2013, when we were trying for the first time (this is the third litter attempt), and we've just been waiting for a puppy to take it on!

What about you? I noticed, in the updates from his breeder, that the pups seemed to take forever to grow at first, and then suddenly they were real puppies in the week 4 pictures, and by week 6, they'd almost doubled in weight and fluffiness!

I was able to see the photos now. They are so fluffy and cute!

I am following the weight gain of our puppy litter also but they seem to gain very steadily though sometimes one puppy or another will gain a bit more. I think we are approaching 12.5 pounds or thereabouts. We aren't able to visit all that often but there is a steady stream of photos and it is amazing how quickly they grow.

As for the name, I posted a whole list of them in the name game thread recently but it looks like Oberon is starting to stick...

Is this your first newf, too?

I have to say, guys, because I think you'll understand...When I picked up the first one, and he relaxed and settled into my arms, I could just feel my eyes welling up. It was an overwhelming emotion of joy. It feels like I've waited so long... I was lucky, though, he turned and started licking my face (very enthusiastically) before I could embarrass myself too much!
