LOL, Greg, not true! Actually, I was laughing with some of my classmates about the spread of American Hegemony... we're taking over the world...

You know, I was visiting a friend the other day who has a niece in Toronto. The family came down to see them and the father is a OSU alum. When he found out I was, he had his daughter (whose 3.5) sing the song that goes "I don't give a F*** about the whole state of Michigan, the whole state of Michigan..." etc. It was so funny. When we asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up she said, "A Buckeye!"

Out of the mouths of babes....

Uh... nice language for a 3.5 year old...

I recall visiting the "snake pit" (south until you smell it, east until you step in it) one time, and noticing a particular family of Buckeye fans. Mother, father and son all sported matching mullets, and all three were screaming obscenities at our bus (Michigan Marching Band bus) as we arrived. Welcome to Columbus. Lovely.

Unfortunately for both UofM and OSU, the most memorable fans are usually not alumni! lol.

That brings me to a joke you'll like, Laura:
A Spartan, a Buckeye, and a Wolverine were all using the bathroom at the same time. The Spartan, upon finishing, washed his hands quickly using only a drop of soap and minimal water, and dried his hands on his shirt. He proudly announced, "At Michigan State University they taught us to be environmentally conscious." The Buckeye, upon finishing, washed his hands vigorously, using plenty of soap and water, and dried his hands completely using the paper provided. He boasted, "At THE  Ohio State University, they taught us to be very thorough." The Wolverine, upon finishing, skipped the soap, water, and towels and went right out the door saying, "At Michigan, they taught us not to p**s on our hands."

LOL, Tiff, that's a great joke! I especially loved your eye-rolling and caps on THE! Too funny. I agree about the most memorable fans have usually never attended...

And John, they do, occasionally, manage to play a football game at OSU. Although some times you have to wonder if they are being mind controled by aliens. A couple of years ago it was like two totally different teams, and you never knew which one was going to show for the game that day.

Mike and I got MSU season tickets this year just so we could go to the OSU game. Sad, huh? Maybe next year, I can talk Tiff into coming out for the U of M game...
