Picky eater

I have finally come to terms with the fact that Thor is just a picky eater. After watching him not eat, but acting normal in all ways, we switched to lamb instead of chicken (same brand). Well, he LOVED the new food, but after a few weeks seemed to lose interest in it too! I added green beans to his food and he LOVED it...for a few weeks. I've now started adding coconut oil to his food and he loves it and won't touch his food without. How do you handle a picky eater? I can't not let him eat because he will throw up bile and yeah....I HATE cleaning up that. I've never had to deal with a picky eater. *sigh* :darn:

Maybe rotate the things he likes slowly so as not to upset his tummy but keep it interesting.

I rotate flavors with each bag of food. I think it's a healthier choice and keeps them more interested in their food.

I feed the same kibble but each meal gets a different topper like sardines, mackerel or salmon. It doesn't seem to bother either of our dogs.

We never feed our dogs the same thing day in and day out. What would you think about that? They get kibble, but it's topped with various things from green beans, peas, cooked carrots, home made soup, spaghetti, etc. Just a spoonful or two keeps things interesting. One of their favorites - any grilled left overs warmed in water.

Good idea. I totally get why he would get bored with it, just never had a dog do that! Today, I bought a small bag of the beef and he loved it! I topped his food with just a little of it and breakfast is gone! I guess I'll rotate bags and add yummys as well. Thanks guys
