When I took the photo of the temple I made sure the sun was partially hidden behind a beam. I metered on the sky because I didn't want it blown out and I knew it would make the Silhouette I wanted. I also shot one stop down.Those are great! I love the position of the sun and how diffuse the light is on the temple and I like those weathered boards and perspective on the church.
Its a quintessential Tuscan street shot but I like it anyway. The Vatican ceiling not the best photo but the detail blows me away. Both photos are taken with a little point and shoot.the street in Italy, I have a shot of the same place. I'll have to look it up!
