Penny update........

Penny swelled up huge today wich means her body is preparing for the inevitable.
she is doing well, is content and happy and rather large, kinda reminds me of a harper seal!
thems the cute seals right?

anyway, she is off her dog food today, so i cooked up 4 boxes of noodles, so far she at 2 and a half, plus 2 cans of chicken broth, that is the ONLY thing i can get her to eat ATM
i can feel the little monsters moving like crazy without putting pressure on her, they are right at the surface it seems, they are little monkeys!
taking her temp no daily, twice.
i have 2 people coming to assist and help out possibly three, penny knows them all very well.
went to goodwill and found a bunch of flannel sheets and neat absorbant blankees.
also bought a bunch of the human bed pads.
so we are ready for anything, gotta fire up the battery for the cam corder and get some film in the cam also.
oooops forgot to ask about the other expectant mothers! how are they doing?

It seems like only yesterday you had your last litter! But it was probably...what...a year ago now?

we have the first due date next week, the 16th, it is possible she will have them early, but i wouldnt count on it.

My favorite doc is on call this weekend, and she whispered in penny ear to have them this weekend while she was on call, she also is on call the 16th, otherwise i get one of the other docs, they all are good, but angie is my fav!
penny probably will time it so doc misses her pups.

i realize each female has different tastes but penny would not eat yesterday, got noodles down her though, i cooked them, than poured a can of swanson chicken broth over them, let them cool and soak up the broth, and fed that to her all day, today she is eating her food, but now this afternoon is picking the archetype out of the kibble.
also, i did open a can of makeral the other time she lost her appetite and mixed some of that in wit her kibble.
the brown rice idea you gave me worked also the one time she was on hunger strike,soaked in chicken broth, someone else made a mention of baby food, try that! it may work, i went and bought a few bottles of the turkey and rice and other flavors and the box of the dry stuff.

i have help and it is most appreciated, i know that many dont have access to the help and i tellthese guys each time how much i appreciate it.

Hi, Devil hasn't got a good appetite either. She eats breakfast occasionally, lunch usually, and dinner for sure. She's getting very clingy... wants to be at my side all the time, if someone gets attention, she shoves them away and takes their place.... She IS very interested in whatever I am eating... (me thinks her old mom may spoil pregos???) and she has 2 weeks till D day
