Ontario Breeders or Canada

Could anyone please email me privately on who is a good breeder in Ontario, that there dogs are health tested etc. etc. not a BYB but has a lot of Current Championed Dogs, not ones from three generations back.
I am interested in getting a show dog/pet.
Please pm me privately with any responses, as I don't feel it is appropriate to discuss online, not to hurt others feelings or possibly make them mad.

Why not look at the NCA breeders list..and go from there..

Yes I have checked out these sources. I was hoping from some verbal first hand knowledgeable resources. I like to hear from past puppy buyers, or people that are out and about the shows this past year. Not just breeders selling there dogs, all looks good in a showcase picture add.

Have you been to any shows out your way and been able to talk to local breeders? Or people who are showing their Newfs? That might be a start for you. There are good Ontarian (is that a word?) breeders on the NDCC list.
Why not check them out.
Can't advise personally, mine are/were all American except for the youngest 2 from the Prairies.

You will see all the good breeders and their dogs at the Canadian Newf Specialty in Gananoque May 22-23, 2009. It's a great place to observe, meet, and talk. There are usually around 90-100 Newfs there. That's where I went when Bonnie was really sick and we knew we'd be looking for a new puppy.

There are also issues of different 'types' even within the Newf Breed. Perhaps you could use the Newf Club oof Canada List to look up Websites and start there doing research; That's what I did. I scrutinized they breeding stock, spoke to breeders on the phone and lastly made more that one road trip (in completely opposite directions) to the breeders homes, to view their 'wares'. There are MANY reputible Breeders in Ontario. You my friend have landed in the Newf Capital of Canada... lucky for you.

The breeder I chose explained the difference between Line Breeding and InBreeding... helped me understand the advantages/ disadvantages of RAW feeding, and explained why she had chosen the Stud, she had selected to breed her Bitch to... Now that's a good breeder! But I never did get a dog from her...lol. Her Gal didn't concieve and I was offered a 'goofy' Rescue pup in the mean time. He's a champion to me :)
