On a walk in Herb's town

Took this picture last Saturday. We live at the beginning of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. In the distance is the Vista House (the little dot on the cliff) to the left and below Mount Hood. You can read more about the Vista House at www.vistahouse.com. We take this walk often.

why is it that everyone has such beautiful places to walk their newfs--along streams and in wonderful fields of flowers and I don't have any place like that??? I know because I live in Darke County OHIO that is why!!! Somebody save me!! I am drowning in fields of brown grass and mud.

Jeannie don't feel bad... the reason we have streams and flowers and Douglas Fir trees is RAIN!! and lots of it! If you can endure it until the wonderful months of July - Oct, it's all worth it!

You do have fabulous scenery and and a fabulous Herb. Your pictures actually are nicer than the pictures on my BrownTrout 2002 Newfoundland Calendar. Here's their website: www.browntrout.com. I would send these in and I'd bet they would pick some of them if not all. Keep posting them. I'll never get tired of looking. Thanks.

I AGREE.... you have the most beautiful pictures of Herb. The backgrounds are so picturesque! (Big word, huh??)

Thanks, again, for sharing such a lovely picture!!

What a lucky dog Herb is....fields, streams, mountains, dirt roads, fresh air and lots of space to roam. Do they have "fresh air camps" for dogs?
Thanks for the beautiful picture

You all are so kind. Thanks for your very thoughtful replies. I enjoy sharing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Herb enjoying it.
