Okay, who's bright idea was this...?!

I like feeding the pups in raised bowls but after buying two separate feeding stations, I soon discovered that they took up way too much room in my tiny kitchen. Plus it seemed like both pups prefered to drink water out of only one bowl, so what was the point of have two dishes to fill all the time? It was so hard to avoid hitting them and/or sitting at the kitchen table. Kala always backed into the one near the door and spilled water everywhere at least three times a week. I had been pounding my head against a wall trying to figure something for hubby to build so we could get rid of these two huge feeding stations. Seemed they got bigger and bigger every day. Well, someone here suggested a plant stand and I promptly took a ride to our local Wal-Mart. It works perfectly and it fits my decor, too! I still need to figure out something better to put under Murphy's dish (he's taller and without it, will take the kibble out and eat off the floor) but this suggestion sure has made my life MUCH better. I couldn't beleive how easy it was to sweep underneath (yesterday) while the other ones hid hair and such. I'm so happy! And it was a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a bigger kitchen! Thanks tons for the great suggestion!!

Dang girl! You are a smartie aren't you? I guess I'll have to go to Wal-Mart (I hate that store!! No one that works there has any teeth!)

I can't take full credit - again, someone else here suggested this. I thought it was a neat idea and had to share.
I measured the plant pot opening and brought my tape measure to PetsMart. I'm so glad that I can now have stainless steel bowls as I hear it's going to be better for Murphy and his chronic lip fold issue. I also cut thin rubber mats normally used to go under excercise equipment (also purchased at Wal-Mart; what can't you get there?) to place under the bowls so they don't move and rattle against the metal frame. It's worked out great for all of us.
Thanks again to the person who originally posted this idea!

Adrienne (who also helped Moose get to his new home) who adopted our Aonghus and later Amy used a plant stand. They really work great and are so pretty. = )

What a great idea!! It looks so much prettier...and I HATE the plastic thingy. It gets grungy after dirty mouths have been slurping out of it for a day...even if you clean it thoroughly mid day.

Thanks for the idea!!
