Today I was told that Teddy has OCD in one joint. The vet xrayed ALL his other joints for free to see if there were any other problems.

He said it seems to be a pretty mild case but will require surgery. Unfortunately the ortho vet is out on vacation until the end of next week so the vet I saw couldn't give me a ton of info. Anyone have any experience with this?

Sorry to say, I have had experience with this... Charlie (at the Bridge) had OCD surgery. It was a faster and easier recovery than the TPLO surgeries he also had. Granted, every dog is different but, Charlie sailed through the surgery and recovery.
My regular vet did the surgery.
Hope Teddy is like Charlie, and has little to no issues with the surgery and recovery.
