not a recall but surely FDA is watching

For the last couple of weeks as most of you know already there has been recalls on dog food and hamster/rat/mouse food. Yesterday I got this email from the FDA regarding Chicken Jerky Treats, which by the way goes by other names. Though we are all very bright people here we can sometimes make mistakes. After the whole China melamine dog food debacle I wonder why we still import from them. IN any event I am sharing this letter because it is important. Especially if you have dogs that others just love and want to buy things for Of course who here does not have a dog that everyone loves

Scary stuff.........Home made is best right now. Because some people are reselling stuff bought in bulk and you have no idea where it is from.

I agree Ronnie, but who has the time? I guess it can happen anywhere not just from China but we really don't watch other countries as close when it comes to food, human or dog. With all the pesticides or growth enhancements to get the sale, the cheapness of product, something's gotta give.
