Normal changes with her 1st heat?

Hello All!

Our girl Raven became an extremely picky eater over the past 1.5 months. She all but quit eating, lost some weight and shed profusley daily. We changed food, tried the normal toppers that she loved with limited success. The fur near her tail became coarse and bristly and she began nipping at us. To get her to eat, we have to add a scrambled egg or she won't eat. She has been quite the different dog for the past 6 weeks.

Today, she started her first heat cycle. Could this be the reason for her changes? Has she been pms'ing, lol?!

How old is she? She shouldn't be having that many issues due to a heat cycle. Has she been checked by the vet for other causes?

She just turned 15 months last week. If this isn't normal, we'll take her to our vet on Monday. She loves people food, trash and counter surfing... but wants nothing to do with dog food. We don't allow her to eat people food - so she quits eating. I've always heard that a hungry dog will eat, but not our girl. Thanks!
