I received a call from the Humane Society asking if I could foster a 4 week old Pitt bull puppy. They are not sure of his exact age but he is a baby. He is such a cute little guy and will be very handsome when he is an adult. He is already using piddle pads! I will have him for about a month. Here are some pics. Hope everyone enjoys!

I usually don't let my dogs do anything but stiff the puppies in my arms when I foster them for at least the first week. Then I will let then lay down and "play" with the puppies. But last time fostering there was 2 of them. So they had a sibling to help with teaching the exceptable play and what hurts. But with this guy not having a playmate I thought it couldn't hurt to have that contact since his mom isn't there to help teach him. Plus he is not scared or timid around my boys. Any other advice feel free to give it.

I remember my Chumley was the puppy from hell so the best advice I can give you is...don't let him out of your sight, not even for one second! I would not even advise sleeping. Actually, I have no idea what to do with a pup that young.
It's such a shame this pup has no mother or littermates. Busa and Jixer will just have to step up to the plate. Enjoy!

Busa and Jixer are total push overs. It amazes me how crazy both of them can be but put a puppy or kitten in front of them and its night and day. Especially Jixer. The puppy just nips, hangs and jumps all over them. They just lay there. Every once in a while the puppy gets a paw but that's about it.. The puppy was sleeping on my lap last night and when Busa came over and sniffed him the puppy growled in his sleep. Poor Busa backed up, looked at me so confused, and went at layed down. Chumley couldnt of been that bad. :) You havent meet these two. Jixer has eaten the carpet and walls. So when we leave he has to be keneled. Busa just stays out in the bedroom. The kenel is in the bedroom. Busa is no angel either. Busa has started letting Jixer out of the cage. I know because I came right back in after I forgot something and caught him red handed. Busa has pulled the covers off us in bed when we are not getting up fast enough for him in the morning. They are a mess. I am just glad they behave enough for me to be able to foster.
