Hi all-
we are rather sad today. I just got an email from the breeder saying that he recived our payment
yesterday, hours after selling the pup we where going to purchase. I am slightly ticked off. How could he have done that? I contacted him several times over the week to make sure he got the payment. He stated that he didn't think we were intrested anymore. Now that jerk is trying to get us to buy a more expensive dog. She is beatiful but not what we want. Okay so I am really tinked off. So now we start back at square one, finding a good breeder. Thanks for letting me vent. Sheehan

YES! Find a different breeder! Don't let this guy jerk you around. A reputable breeder would not do the bait and switch.

I'm sorry about the disappointment, but when the right one is there, nothing will keep the two of you apart!

I'm sure you're very disappointed and frustrated but honestly, these things happen for a reason. I'm sure your perfect pup is coming to you at some time. And honestly, better to find out that this breeder works in a way different from what you would like now, rather than when you are in the middle of newf-lifetime-long relationship with him.

You are disappointed now, but you should really be glad because obviously this is not a breeder you want to deal with! And what do you mean he is trying to get you to buy a more expensive pup? That sounds odd.

In his email he stated that he had a new litter that we could pick from but those pups where 200.00 more than the pup we originaly where supposed to get.

This sounds very questionable to me. I think down the line you will be glad not to be in this deal. This has to be very disappointing, but I firmly believe that everything works out for the best in the long run! This doesn't help right this second though, I know! I'm sorry!!

As many have said, this is not the behavior of a reputable breeder. Thank your lucky stars things didn't turn out. We all know how strong the desire for a black fluff ball is, but a lifetime of problems is not worth it. PM me.

Hopefully this is a sign that your pup isn't supposed to come from someone as ... unprofessional, as this.

Sorry for your disappointment.
But to echo everyone else, he doesn't sound like a very ethical breeder! A deal is a deal and if he renigged on his part, he probably wouldn't have followed through in other areas, should you have had any problems!
It was probably a blessing to you in disguise! You'll find the perfect pup! You'll see. And when you do, it will make the wait well worth it!!

..That has got to be such a huge dissapointment..
But things will work out in the mean time for the best. In defense of the breeder, buyers do change their mind, get one somewhere else sooner, etc. Until the deposit/payment is in hand, a puppy is not sold. However, if you called several times to assure it was on the way, this sounds very unethical. Something is wrong there. Be glad you will find a better breeder.....Julie
