We had a change of plans and did not go to the ice cream place, instead Nigel got to have his very own slice of my grandma's meatloaf!! She would have loved that, she was owned by a very spoiled Irish Setter named Shannon who ate better than us on some nights!!!

We're singing to him in this picture Nigel knew this was a big honor(or was it the meatloaf?)....you can see how humble he is being.
In our family we sing the "Happy Birthday to You" but we also follow it with the "May the Dear Lord Bless You" verse...apparently he was growing weary!
Finally, sweet victory!!!
Nigel is saying "Goomrgh, schlp, um, ymm, grp" I think that means, "Oh Grandma was a genious with the meatloaf, this is so, so, so good!"
PRESENT TIME!!!
We had a box with the wrapped presents but also the "party favor" for Emma....her's was not wrapped!
Upon smelling, seeing, and tasting Emma's rubber chicken party favor he was pleasantly surprised to see he got one too!
Then it was time for the next present, only after Emma was content with her chicken and after Nigel placed his chicken next to Sarah for safe keeping.
Yeah!! A fuzzy bone!
By the time it came for the third present, Nigel realized that the wrapped things were fun! Here is his pink flamingo!
The last present of the evening.....Bully sticks!!! One for Nigel and one for Emma.
Emma really likes it when her brother has a birthday!

The party was a blast and as I write this both doggies are happily chewing on their bully sticks, Nigel is staying close to the rest of his goodies. It's going to be a good weekend!!! :allg069:
