Good greif ! what self respecting mother dog would not nip someone 'stumbling into their litter'....and the 'dominent male' has never been neutered??? What is wrong with people.......!

I am particularly worried about the female as they have advertised her potential for "breeding stock" ... and where are her puppies might I ask?

I emailed them both and heard back from the guy with the female. I asked him why he doesn't give her back to the breeder where he got her or contact the NCNC rescue and he said he doesn't thing the breeder is a good idea because he thinks they just use the females to breed and don't treat them very well, and the NCNC said their lawyers advised them against taking her. I want to get her so bad, but I got a big NO from the hubby :(

He NEEDS to get her spayed and THEN place her or send her back to her breeder!

I agree and I did tell him that. When I mentioned that our dog was not yet nuetered and that could be an issue, he said if I wanted her he would get her spayed immediately. I suggested he do that for whomever gets her... I can't tell with this guy, though. He seems to love her and care about where she goes, but then he is going about everything all wrong. He said he was a member of Newfoundland Club of Northern California, but if he was, why wouldn't he find someone through there?!

So Sad. Where were these ads when I was looking for a newf? I would have loved to have a rescue newf. However, in California they are few and far between. If this guy would give them to Rescue people like me would happily adopt them!

Hi all-
I am apart of the Nor Cal Newf Club and I just left a message for the owners to contact the Nor Cal Newf club at NCNC.org and fowarded both of the postings on craigs list the a contact that I have a contact that used to do rescue with the Nor Cal Newf Club. Hopefully she can help these poor Newfs. Makes me so sad. In the meantime, I just left a message with the person who handles the Newf Rescue for the NCNC. That is how we got Noche. Hopefully, she can find a foster home for both of them for now. Sounds like there is something in the breeders contract that the NCNC knows about and that is why they may be reluctant to take the female. Unfortunately, we can not take either dog. City only allows 3 dogs and we are maxed. Total bummer!

Tina-BTW the NCNC had quite a few dog they were looking to foster/adopt recently due to the fact that there are a lot of people losing homes etc. If you are seriously interested PM me and I will get you in contact with the proper person.

HI All-
Got a call last night and this AM from my contacts with the NCNC. They have been in contact with both owners and are aware of both circumstances. There are other circumstances that are not listed on the adds.
