I open all the doors on my van and use the circuteer instead of a vacuum cleaner. Works great. Stay away from the speakers.
My dogs don't ride crated, there is not enough room in my van for the number of dogs that "ride" everywhere with me...quite often, four come along just to get groceries or to go pick up the mail. Yes, I understand there is risk involved...
If you are crating your dog in a vehicle though, make sure you have bolt cutters in the vehicle that would cut through a metal crate if you were in an accident. I know of one accident where a vehicle was rear ended with crates in the back, rear opening...and the back door of the vehicle was essentially destroyed...leaving no access to the dogs to remove them. A passer by happened to have bolt cutters and stopped and cut the other end out of the crate to get the dogs out.
If you are using a harness system, have something IN the vehicle that would allow straps to be cut through quickly in case the release area is destroyed or the harness clasp has too much tension on it to undo it.
