Newfie helps lifeguard in Spain article

Sounds like the lifeguard didn't know much about newfies when he got his as a pup - pretty cool that they are working together at the beach now.

Odd that they say they are the first to use newfies as all over Europe there are differnernt places , especially Italy, that use newfies, leonbergers, labradors and golden retrievers. Even some places in the UK. that does not take away from how great that dogs is, but as ususal a newspaper gets it wrong.

Fantastic well done Bruno doing what you do best......it's lovely our breed is celebrated yet slightly worrying by being in such a newspaper over here I hope it draws the right attention from the right people. We have the famous Bilbo down here in Cornwall at Sennen Cove he has been a lifeguard for years people come just to see Bilbo xx

Really cool! But wouldn't you be concerned that a newf is out in the heat that long of a time period?

I too would be concerned about the heat , I know that beach well , the water is shallow and very warm , more like a lagoon ,
