Breeding is DEFINITELY NOT EASY and not for the thin-skinned. One of my boys recently sired a litter of 6 healthy, big pups. We've lost 5 and are praying the remaining one makes it. Bitch had a high fever and they had to section her. The only thing I can figure is that whatever she had was passed to the pups via nursing. Repro vet is stumped and the bitch owners are devastated.
I recall Peter lost an entire litter in a similar fashion. I need to contact him...

I read about the devastating loss. How tragic. Peter lost 13 out of 15 in 2012. I was with him that day. There are no words to describe the experience.
