Does anyone know if the list is down or quiet? I haven't received anything since yesterday afternoon and am wondering if I got bumped off?

Chris, I get mine in digest form and I got three sets today for a total of 21 e-mails.

I haven't gotten a lot of mail either. Maybe it's a slow week with everyone on vacation?

Okay, someone on newf-l posted this morning that if you have Comcast you can't get newf-l anymore! Apparently Comcast has "blacklisted" certain ISP addresses and newf-l is one of them...
SO, if you have Comcast and are getting nothing this is why.
I know nothing else exept this..I guess you have to contact Comcast and verify/complain.

p.s. I had I think 6 this morning

Thanks for posting that about Comcast...That's what I have...I will be calling them first thing Monday am...In the meantime, I set-up a yahoo account and am back on.

Yeah, I have Comcast too, and boy, does this burn my butt!!! I pay them premium bucks for a premium service, not to be my content nanny. They will be hearing from me as well, and I don't think they will like the call....

For those of you who have comcast, have you called them? If so, what was there response? I have yet to call (I have comcast also) however, I am not even sure what to say to them, since I am so pathetically computer challenged.

OK, I just got off the phone with Comcast after a joyful 25 min. on hold, interspersed with 30 second conversations and being transferred around in circles.

This is what I have gleaned so far-

IF Comcast has blacklisted the URL, it is because a virus was detected in a message originating from that URL. The entire URL will remain blacklisted until such time as the URL owner contacts Comcast, and they work things out.

I say IF, because after talking with 3 persons at Comcast regarding this issue, I was given a blacklist specific 800 # to call to confirm the blacklist. If I get a chance, I will try it later, but here it is if anyone else wants to give it try-

800-871-6298 Option 2

Thanks Rick. I did call the regular number and tried to explain the situation, and the fellow I spoke with thought that perhaps there was a prob with the domain name. He gave me the address to email which is:

blacklist_comcastnet@cable.comcast.com

Hopefully, this will be cleared up soon.

PS. Yes Rick, we do pay premium bucks for comcast, don't we?????!!!!!

All of this thread..may well explain why I was getting email from friends, a couple of months ago..saying they had been blocked/refused. I have Comcast...and event. the problem was cleared..but it was a pain in the tookus..while it was 'in effect'. ina n HB

I haven't gotten messages in the last couple days either, I didn't notice because I was on vacation, but I still haven't gotten any. I also have comcast.
