Newbie question about Sweepstakes

I am entering the specialty show in Saratoga for Jan. There is also a Sweepstakes for puppies under 18 mo. I have never been in a specialty show. Any reason not to enter both the class and the Sweepstakes? I guess I am unclear what the purpose of the Sweepstakes is...I have been in best of puppies...how is this different?

It is fun to enter sweepstakes and entering them both is just fine. Usually the judge is really sweet with the puppies too and if you win, you would win some money!! (usually). It is different than best of puppies because the only puppies you will compete against will be other newfie puppies and not the best of puppies from the other of the working group (ie danes, dobermans, etc). Have fun and best of luck to you in the sweeps!! and regular classes!
