I was reading the posts about snoring and farting newfs. Thankfully, Bear does only the former and not the latter. Although she does belch quite a bit. But what really got me going were the stories of the scary carpet, parsley, shoes, etc. Not having owned newfies before, I was shocked when Bear took a barking fit when she saw a horse for the first time. We decided to walk around New Hope, PA when she was 11 months old certainly to show her off like any new baby to the family. We couldn't walk more that 10 steps before being stopped and questioned. But she put the brakes on when the horse and carriage was coming down the street. I've never heard such a deep resounding bark. I must admit, she isn't found of the vacuum cleaner either whether it is on or not.
