ok iam not good with my computer the problem is my dile up is the phone line and when someone call me my dile up cuts out then i have to shut down and i have to stare alll over again is any way to stop this i could swith dile up services but i dont know if can keep every thing i have the same plus cable is so much money thanks all

I know that can be a problem. I actually got a second line just for my fax machine and internet. The cost isn't that high...you should ck it out.

Hey ZIP ... If you have call waiting, you can disable it for the call you are on (such as dialing up your computer.) Most systems disable for 1 call with *70 (you might check your local operator.) To use it, put '*70,' in front of the phone number for your dial up. (You can test it by just dialing *70 when you pick up your phone. Listen for 3 quick beeps -- tells you its working.)

You also might want to see if DSL service is offered by your telephone company. This would allow you to be on the phone and computer at the same time through the same phone line.

Call waiting, you have to disable call waiting and your internet service provider can give you the code. Can't remember offhand. I've got cable modem, much better faster.
