Hi all!! These are my boys, Kinnick (7yrs) and Carver (5mos). They are the greatest!! My boyfriend and I got together close to 4 years ago now (sheesh! seems like forever!!)
fftopic: But he already had Kinnick when we got together and I fell in love with him immediately! (the dog of course ) He was just the sweetest. I remember the first time I met him, my boyfriend was so embarrassed when Kin almost knocked me down (he outweighs me by 50lbs!!) and slobbered all over my leg. I just smiled and told him it didn't matter to me at all, it meant he liked me! We have been a family ever since.
About a year ago we decided to add to our little family of 3 and welcome our new baby boy, Carver! We found a breeder that we absolutely loved with a litter on the way! Unfortunately, the female that was pregnant lost her litter due to her age, it was a tough time for us and the breeder as she lost the female shortly after. We kept in contact with the breeder over the next year and developed a great relationship with her, finally this past April she called and told us the fantastic news, she had another litter on the way!! It was the most exciting summer of our relationship! We were going to be Newfie parents... again! I had no idea what I was in for until we brought him home.......
Fast forward nearly 4 months and here we are; one rambunctious, crazy, energetic baby, and one calm, cool, and lazy grandpa dog.. and we couldn't be happy! So far we have had many ups and downs; arguments about the silliest things, potty training trial and errors, and a household full of overall chaos and love. Getting a puppy has taught me more about myself than I ever thought could be possible. I've gained patience and understanding I never knew I had in me... who knew these Newfs would ever teach me more than I was able to teach them; they literally are my life.
I know I still have a lot to learn about being a baby Newf momma so I am so glad that I found this site! I just want to thank you all in advance for your help and support! I can't wait to get to know all about your Newfie experiences as well... Hopefully I am not the only one who's Newfs own them instead of the other way around!!
