Maddie and the puppy

After 2 weeks of our new Lab puppy, Maddie is starting to play with Vandy. Vandy is only allowed in the sunroom and is always with one of us. Today, she and Maddie were having a good time and were trading kisses. ( I think Vandy thinks her name is Kisses!, Vandy!) Maddie was trying to teach the little thing who is boss. Vandy can get rather excited and bouncy and was rolling around near Maddie's foot. Whomp! A big Newfie paw was laid across Vandy and kept her on the floor until she calmed down. (Sorry, no pictures, they kept moving!)I am so proud of Maddie! She really seems to like Vandy and wants to be around her. And she's teaching her even better than we can! Hopefully, I can get some pictures of them together soon.

I am so glad to hear this! Sunshine still can't believe what I have inflicted on her! She still wants nothing to do with her but seems to be a little more giving today. Has let Rosie in her face for a brief minute & didn't object when Rose was playing with Sunny's tail. This gives me hope! I love the newfie paw!
