About a month or so ago I had Jack and Macy professionally groomed...not a first time for Jack, but it was the first for Macy. I usually groom Macy myself, but wanted to treat myself to clean dogs (most women would treat themselves to a day at the spa getting themselves groomed...it is a bigger treat to me to have clean, groomed dogs that I didn't have to get dirty doing). But I digress...
Macy looks great. Her feathers are all trimmed and her rear area was thinned out and trimmed up (she looked like she had a buffalo attached to her behind...or maybe a wooly mammoth). Well, Jack is now obsessed with Macy. Before, he didn't care whether she was coming or going, couldn't be bothered with her at all. Now....I can't keep him off of her and it is driving me BONKERS!!! They are both fixed and I understand the whole mounting to show dominance thing....by why didn't he care about that before? Does a hair trim drastically change things? I thought it would wear off, but after a month, he is going as strong as ever. Please tell me that this will pass...or let me know what I can do to end it.
