Love Comes in All Shapes and Sizes

A few years ago when my mom got sick, she could not longer take care of her little cockatiel, Scooter. So, I brought him home to live with me. He doesn't like to be in his cage and so spends most of the time sitting on the top !! I was worried at first that he may become someone's dinner, but the love of the Newfie soon was evident. None of them have every bothered our little feathered friend (even when he flies down and walks around on the floor), BUT Bumper and him have developed this incredible friendship. She comes in the room and they go nose to nose and the bird just talks and talks to her. It is the cutest thing ever !! These pictures were taken on the day we were moving to our new place (so much for the messy cage !!) ... best buddies packing up their memories !!

Very sweet! Obie "loves" my neighbor's lovebird, but we have to watch closely because she read somewhere that dog saliva is toxic to lovebirds, hmmmm.

I didn't have my Camera ..

and I was so mad. I was sitting at my desk finishing up some work on the computer. Well Bumper was laying on the floor beside me and, for the very first time ever and just out of nowhere, the little bird flew down and landed right on her paw while she was laying down. She raised up her head and looked at him and he walked right up her "arm" and they just sat there. He was talking away saying "Scooter is a pretty bird" and "I'm gonna be a good boy" and she just started wagging her tail. I've never seen anything like this in my life !!
