Looking to help a friend

Hi there, I hope this post is OK here. I have a friend who's a great dog mom (has had dogs for 15+ years) and fell in love with Cooper when we met at the dog park about a year and a half ago.

She works at home, they have an almost 3 year old daughter and 2 med-large dogs (lab and a mix). They recently lost their 16 year old Eskimo and are looking for a new fur kid.

They prefer to rescue. They're good with their dogs, firm but kind, and I think they'd be a great Newf family.

Looking at Newf Friends and SCNC I'm not seeing a lot of available dogs right now but I was wondering if someone who's in the know could clue me in, or if there's somewhere else to look.

The family is in CT so within an 8 hour drive of New Friends.

Thanks!
Mary

Nothing helpful to add, but I think it's so nice that you're reaching out to help your friends. Posts like this and Jeannie's make me so glad I joined this online community!

I second that! Cathy is AWESOME!
Thanks all! I looked at both websites and hadn't seen a match but I emailed Cathy and she had a suggestion that I sent on to my friends. Hoping it works out, they would be such a nice home and I love that they really want a senior or special needs dog. <3
