HI everyone,
We had such a great time with all the "Newfie folks" at the dog days in Mystic a few weeks back... It was wonderful to spend time with people who dont mind drool!! We would love to find play pals in the Southeastern Ct area to get together with for playdates ..Scarlet is well behaved with other dogs and people too! :sunflower:

Hello! We're in the northwestern part of CT - (Morris). There's a huge dog park in Southbury - let us know if you're ever in our area. Tug gets along with everyone and loves to play. Laura Murray

We're about 60 miles from you in MA but close to the CT line. You should bring Scarlett up for a romp at the Tuft's Vet School Fields. There are 100's of acres of open, rolling fields, lots of safe off-leash space and it's close to the MA Pike so easy access up 395 or 84. Click on the picture below to open a slideshow of Lili and Lulu at Tuft's Campus.

Whereabouts in Southeastern CT? My family is from Southwestern CT - Redding and now they live in Newtown - the next time I'm up that way with the boys we'd love to get together. Alternatively you can always bring her for a spa day to NJ!! Nanook gets along with everyone, and Pooka loves everyone but can sometimes be a little obnoxious ("play with me! No, with ME! I'M the best!"). If he gets uppity we put his leash on.

Great!
Maybe it IS time to plan another CT gathering. Last year's was a bit COLD, but it was wonderful meeting everyone. I still have the group shot of all the Newfs on my computer. And I do remember meeting Bojie! What fun to have so many people from so many places!

Yup, we loved the last CT get together! Bojie and Nanook actually played with other dogs besides each other!

Looks as if there would be a few people interested in a Ct get together....Any recommendations for a Newf-friendly location with open space and water?? I was thinking about one of the Ct state parks, I believe they are all dog friendly...Ideas anyone??

We might be able to come and crash at the inlaws' in Guilford - or come for the day if within 2 hours of Boston.

Georgia, I know for a fact that Tim won't kill you. He adores newfs as much as you do. Besides, tell him his foster son Cooper will be there!!!

I'm halfway between New Haven and Bridgeport! Brody is erm, spirited with other dogs. Dogs either love him, ignore him or want to attack him.

Nessa,

My parents lived in Newtown for 7 years when my dad was President of GE's foundation.

My old trainer is also in Newtown.

Such a small world!
