Long time no chat!

Hello everyone, it's been ages since I had a chance to drop in here. I've missed you all... a lot. I just finished my first year of my PhD program, and it (of course) went well. I have been taking an intensive Arabic program over the summer, gearing up for my dissertation...

I was visiting with my mom this weekend and she had found a roll of film of me and Guido, and I realized how much I miss having a newf, my boy, and the friends I made here.

So, I hope this finds you all well. I am thinking about moving into a house so I can foster for the next year until I leave for my research trip... after all, what's life without a newfie?

Well, you see, what they don't tell you is that a PhD program makes one certifiably insane. I don't know if I'm coming or going most of the time, although it would be the perfect time to have a dog... seeing as I currently am gone about 4 hours a day and the rest of the time work from home...

I'm sorry I missed the gathering and have been absent so much... I plan to remedy that in the future...
