Keeping Newfs busy on HOT summer days

Elvis goes crazy for ice cubes in his water bowl. He won't rest until they're all removed and eaten.

We also throw handfuls into his wading pool and he fishes them all out. He either has terrible "only dog" syndrome and can't share or is an amazing life guard because anything that dares get in his pool (ice cubes, carrots, toys, us) has to be immediately removed.

Mine love 'Puppy Popsicles'! I cut strips of cloth from old pants, tie a couple knots, soak them in water and freeze them. They keep them busy for hours!

Since we started putting treats in the ice cubes, Bo turns up his nose at the ones that are just water. He gives us his "sad eyes" look, as if he's saying "Is this ALL I get?" Pretty soon he'll have us trained to freeze an entire roast chicken in ice... :lol:
