Kali went to the vet on Monday. It WAS supposed to be today, but the incision site healed quickly and there wasn't a need for the stitches to be in longer than the 14 days. It was a >>>>>>FAST>>>>>> removal, she didn't even flinch. Then she got updated on her shots, I got a speech about how he wants her to lose 15 lbs and .....blah blah blah. I only give her pain pills when she goes to bed, she gets her rimadyl and dasaquin daily, and each day it's a tiny bit better! I think she's going to be fine. :hugs: A million hugs and furry smoochies to all who supported Kali and me and kept us in your prayers! :hugs:

Back to what the vet said...Here's what gets me about THAT lecture.........and mind you, I LOVE my vet and would not think of going anywhere else.......the thing is, Kali is over due to be groomed. By this time each year, she has a puppy cut. WELL, when i bring her in to the vet with her "puppy cut", I get the praised of how she looks good, she's losing weight, this is wonderful. HELLOOOOOOOOOO  - IT'S HER FUR. KALI'S COAT DOESN'T GROW LONG AND FLAT, KALI HAS A 1970 AFRO WHEN SHE IS OVERDUE TO BE GROOMED AND "PUPPY CUT". Yes, she could use a few pounds off of her, I think we ALL could use that! ............So, after hearing this entire conversation at the vet's office, Kali has decided all on her own, to only eat her canidae platinum dry and refuses to have any moist mixed in! Hows that for a do-it-yourselfer! (Mama throws 5 Pepperidge Farm goldfishes on the top for her, just because I love her!) (((((((but don't tell the vet!!))))))

Love to you all,
Tina & Kali :alc:
