So sorry I haven't given any updates lately, it has been exhausting caring for Kali. Tuesday and Wednesday she didn't lift her back end at all. She had several accidents in the house and moving her around was exhausting. Thursday night, it was like the hand of God had lifted her on her own. She stood on her 3 good legs ad was able to move around the house un-aided. Then she got herself onto her bed all by herself! (I started crying!!) Yesterday, (saturday) she finally went #2 outside. (Although, she wasn't able to squat the way she usually does, and got most of it all over herself.) ((At least the attempt was there!!)) So i spent the next hour or so cleaning her up outside. I've stopped using the cone on her. She can't sleep at night with it on, and winds up barking in my face to take it off, so, since she doesn't fuss at all with the stitches, i leave the cone off.
Her appetite is back to normal and mostly, she just sleeps all day, which is a good thing! But then she used to sleep most of the day before too!!
Again, I'm sending a million thank yous to everyone who has helped Kali & me in one way or another through this ordeal. Everyone has been generous with their prayers/love and donations.
Now that I'm not on 24 hour watch anymore with her, I should be able to post more timely updates. Her next appointment is May 13th for suture removal.
God Bless.
