Ok, so its only 6:30 am, but I woke up at 5:30 and could hear Larrys stomach gurgling and it still is. Its loud. I put him outside and he is eating grass like crazy, he wont stop. I have been out there an hour and I dont think he has thrown up, he seems fine otherwise?? He seemed fine last night?? He did get a different flavor of treats last night, I think they were the wellness Peanut Butter, instead of the fish ones. (I already threw the new box away). What do you think??
oh yeah, and he has really bad gas too, not smelly, I can just hear it.

Upset tummies can be caused by many things. You can give him pepto bismal or maloxx. Since he is a puppy I'd give the child's dose.

It does sound like he has an upset tummy. You can also give him Pepcid or Gas X and see if he gets relief. If you don't see improvement soon, it may be more involved and you should put a call into the vet.

Snuffles will tend to try to eat grass on our 7:00 AM walks before breakfast if the grass is green. Sometimes he throws it up right away too, but not always. Very seldom after his morning meal will he eat grass after breakfast.

How's he doing now? Keep an eye on him......I think NY may be alluding to a pre-bloat episode. Hopefully he's settled down and all is well. If not, I'd contact my Vet to discuss it.

Perhaps you're right.....his treats didn't agree with him.

Just saw this Kris. Abbey is very concerned for her Main Man Larry. How is he doing??? I've also heard Abbeys tummy gurgling loudly a few times, never turned out to be anything other than gas. He didn't get into the chives did he? With bulbs coming up this time of year, we all need to watch what our pups are putting in their mouths. Keep us informed.

So maybe I freaked out a little ! It was early, and his stomach was so loud. I have never heard a dogs stomach gurgle so loud and then he was eating sooooooooo much grass, eeeek. And, it was still dark out.
Anyway, I waited it out with him inside and then he finally ate his breakfast about 9:30 and so far so good. I still hear the sounds, but less frequently.....?? !! The grass eating slowed down after he ate so I feel better, but hasnt eaten again. Off I go back out to the yard with him. I will check back in with my NN doctors a little later.

Teri: no chives, ha ha

6:45 p.m. report: Dog appears to have fixed himself and Newfie Mom is relieved. Well, the cause of said Loud, gurgling stomach is still not known. But it is no longer, Mommy admits that she got a little paranoid. Larry ate his dinner like normal. I do feel a tad  but he is my "baby". Thanks for all the advice and I hope we can consider this brief episode over. I tell ya though, that was loudest noise I have EVER heard come out of a dog. Thanks everyone for your support. I will still keep an "ear" out and hopefully I wont be posting back at midnight !!!

What kind of kibble is he eating? sometimes kibble is not easily digestable depending on the name brand, sampson would puke up undigested pro plan after nine hrs of eating! his tummy would be making noises to.
I would first check to see what brand he is eating, and check to see how digestable it is, it also might be helpful to find some enzymes that he can be supplimented with to help with the digestion process.

He has been on Innova Large Breed Puppy food since he came home. I was planning on switching to the Large Breed adult, next food bag, as it has the same ingredients with glucosomine/chondroitin in it also. Larry will be 6 mos. the 26th. any comments? I am open to all. . ..
I checked out the wellness site, and he had the "orginal" flavor treats until the night before. The new ones are "P-nuttier" ?? ++++++++++++++74 oops that was larry trying to type. (really) I did print out the bloat chart, yesterday morning and I dont see any other extra symptoms.

PS: Sar looks like if I would have been up in the middle of the night, you might have been there!!!:)
