Help !!!!! Teething question

Gingerbread is now 8 months old and teething like mad. She's been teething, but I thought this was going to get better. I feel soo bad for her. I've tried putting a "binky" kong with peanut butter in the freezer, and she goes through that in a minute. She likes chewing on the nylon leash and soft stuffed animals, she also chews on fruit flavored rawhide type bones. She doesn't eat them, just chews them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could give her that will keep her attention and soothe her gums? The bones and wash clothes that you wet and freeze are no good. She tears them to shreds in seconds. I'll try anything. Help!!!!!:banghead:

I didn't think real bones were good for her. I thought they splintered. Does this help?
No, real bones are good. Just the cooked ones are very bad, they splinter. If you normally give dry food, you can get some soup bones for gnawning (not really for eating, but biting and helping those itchy gums)!.

I agree with real bones....RAW soup type bones or knuckle joint bones.

However, IF you get some with marrow in the middle, scoop out the marrow until she gets used to it bit by bit or she'll get diarrhea.

Also...frozen washcloths tied in a knot. Clean of course (rinse out soap residue from washing, thoroughly)!

We used old socks. White athletic socks, tied with a knot in the middle, (distinguished them from the socks we wanted to keep) wet them and froze them. I found this somewhere online. I probably had a dozen or so in the freezer at any one time. It was a good excuse to clean out hubby's sock drawer.

This extreme teething period lasted about a month. Now Boaz has gathered a collection of his socks in the corner of the laundry room. It's funny, he knows his from ours.

Can you give her real bones?
Katy (months) gets lots and lots of brisket bones.....I freeze them for her, because we are so hot here at present. She is teething, but seems to have no issues and has only ever chewed on her bones

The knotted rope toys are great if you soak and freeze them, and playing tug gently with her might help loosen some of those stubborn teeth.

But yeah - good real bones, fully thawed, are the best.
