:icon_redface: I have only owned two digital cameras. A kodak Easyshare from about 5 years ago, then I won an Olympus SP350 in a raffle a year ago. Here is the dumb question part: is there a digital camera out there that takes the picture AS SOON AS YOU PRESS THE BUTTON. I dont know how many pictures of my knee or the ground that I have taken. I am obviously not a pro, maybe I need to read the manual, but I dont think there will be a section on knees??? he he Maybe I just need to start some research ???? Point and shoot is what I want ????

Great question. I loose so many great shots because our digital has a delay of at least a second. We have a Fugi Finepix f700.

That's why I ditched my point and shoot and got a digital SLR a couple of years ago....and then another one a year ago.

Point and shoots are good for still pics....not as good for moving targets.

Some of the new ones are better tho. If you have a camera that you can set for continuous shooting, and adjust the ISO to a higher number, you'll have better luck with those action shots.

if you still want a point and shoot. I would go with the Canon sure shot. Also I would go to walmart or target or something of that nature and play with them to see which you like best. If you are looking for an SLR I would start some serious research. I love my Rebel. Good Luck.

Most if not all of the modern cameras have a negligible shutter delay, especially if you let the camera pre-focus (push the shutter half way first).

Thanks everyone, I know that I have a "burst" setting on my camera that shoots 6-8 pictures in a row. I think I will try that while trying to shoot action shots of Larry, Ha ha. Maybe when he is a big boy and learns to pose it will be easier. I will start researching the SLR thing. I like the idea of hitting the local stores to "test". Think they let me bring Larry in to "test" while he is in motion !!!! The husband swears by the disposable camera thing, batteries dont run out, takes the picture immediately!! Thanks, everyone.
