Hi guys!! I haven't been here in a very long time, but I decided to drop in.

I know alot of you from other places and some of you I don't know. For those who don't know me...here's my story:

I am the mom of 3 beautiful newfs. Newman (almost 3yo) bought from a breeder at 8wks old. Collins (3yo newfador) rescued from Georgia. Indy (5 1/2yo) is our newest addition.

Indy was brought to us by none other than Russell Milliron...that wonderful husband of our very own Annie!! Thanks again Annie (and Russell).

I live in beautiful SC with my husband, son, cat, and 3 boys. It is never a dull moment.

Newman had a busy summer. He had to go to UGA to have surgery on both knees for his cruciate ligaments, but he is 100% better now. It was a LONG summer for us since UGA is 4 hrs from us!

I am looking forward to catching up on things here and getting to know everyone!!

I'm sure everyone will be happy to see pics of Indy (did you change his name?) we were all amazed at the care Jeannie gave him.

Hi there,

Nice to 'meet' you. My name is Deanna and I live in New Zealand with my 2 year old Newf named Baxter. I am fairly new to this Forum and I am really enjoying hearing about everybody and getting to see pics of their beautiful Newfies. I can't wait to see pics of your babies... wow... you are so lucky... 3 of them!!

I am glad to hear that Newman is 100% better after his surgery and that Indy is settled in well, isn't there something so special about a rescue Newf. I look forward to hearing more about you and your Newfies.

Hi Shawn and welcome back!
I'm also a fairly new member and thoroughly enjoy the group here. Looking forward to hearing about your three (wow!) fur babies. Benson is almost 6 months old and I can't imagine life without him.

Can't wait to see pictures!!!!!

Well,
Since I'm almost totally computer illiterate, I'll grab my husband on a slow day and make him post pictures of the boys.

Indy (yes that's still his name) is looking better everyday. His hair is growing in so beautifully and he is something of a "love pig." I can't believe he had trouble finding a forever home. We love him so much. He HAS to sleep in the bed with me whether my husband is in the bed or not

Newman (my special love of my life) is a LARGE boy. He is my youngest and biggest, but he thinks he is a yorkie. Such a baby. Doesn't drink out of the water bowl...has to drink out of the tub with faucet running! After his first knee surgery he stopped eating and lost alot of wt (separation anxiety)...I ended up having to SPOON FEED him for 3 months! That was a time consuming site!

Collins is a newfador. He and Indy are the same height but Collins weighs as much as Newman!! He is now on a diet...he's a little porky. We got him from a young couple in Ga who couldn't care for him anymore due to health problems in the family. Before that he was rescued from a horrible situation along with his brother who went to a lady in NY.

Oh, Jasmine is the ruling princess over her 3 boys...or 1 1/2 yo cat. Since she is the only girl....she definitely rules...the boys adore her!

Pictures as soon as I can get my husband on the job!
Thanks for the welcome back!

Hi Shawn! Glad to see you come back!

Shawn keeps my waistline expanding by sending me WAY too much food from the US. I'm still working my way through about 5 kilos of hersheys kisses and peanut butter bars!

Amy,
You stop whining...you love every mouthful of it.

Amy keeps my diet ruined by sending me these horribly sinful cookies called tim-tams. For all of you here in the states on a diet, be thankful these things aren't sold here.

Hi Shawn, nice to meet you. I hope you stay with us for a while. Question, how do your Newfs deal with the southern summers?

Largo,
They do fine. Stay in the A/C on the tile floors, in the water at the lake, or in the pool most of the time. Walks are at 6-7AM before the heat sets in.

They DO NOT by any means stay out in the heat.I can't stay out long without being in the pool or A/C.

SC summers are grueling. It seems like the asphalt gets mushy at times. We also have a pontoon boat and live 5 mins from the lake...that helps.
