It’s bittersweet since Jeannie lost his littermate Chase just before their 13.5 birthday, but my super goofy boy Elwood turned 14 today. The odds were against him from minute one, but with excellent vet care, tons of love, and his ridiculous stubbornness, but here he is, snoring away next to me. He has no more rear end strength, and he needs to be lifted like a hairy suitcase with his Help Em Up Harness to go out but he’s HAPPY. I don’t know how much time he has, but I will cherish all of it.
I also have to thank GAD, the Moderators, and all of the members in this AMAZING community for helping us over the years. This community helped me more than I can say, and I has helped me meet some of the VERY BEST people I know. THANK YOU ALL, and ESPECIALLY GAD. None of us would have met without YOU!
