Handler vs No Handler

While I know the catalogs don't always list a 'handler' due to ringside pick up, etc, I find these numbers pretty interesting.

I think that is the key. There are many more handlers in the ring than are listing inthe catalog. I think the numbers post by MBF are very misleading because the handler/agent is not listed.

We've discussed on another list. A lot of handlers never get listed in catalogs for class dogs from what I've seen. IMO, numbers very skewed.

Owner handlers have won at Westminster..depends on who they are. I think it takes a long time for a green owner to learn to handle....but alot have and have done well. There is politics in every competition.....dogs are no exception...especially when judges handle.

Interesting compilation of data, but I agree with Janice and Joan. Many times dogs that are consistently with handlers and not ring-side pick up, have no handler listed. No way to adjust past stats for that...
