half raw?

Wondering if anyone feeds a raw meal once per day and kibble once per day? Understand that kibble and raw don't mix at a single meal b/c of differing digestive requirements but read that some have success with one of each per day .

Thanks in advance for any constructive feedback.

We feed kibble, not raw, but my understanding was that it wasn't good to mix the 2, even at different meals. I believe it was something to the effect that the kibble will still be digesting when the raw meal is eaten, which can be problematic for digestion.

Admiral is raw-fed but eats kibble at day care (used to be every day, now appx. once a month). Never had a problem.

You can feed one meal of each ,generally space them well apart.

However l have a friend with newfs who feeds raw,vegetables/fruit and a very cheap complete dry food all together and none of her newfs ever seem to have any issues,so whether its the amount of dried that makes a difference l don't know.

If you are feeding 2 meals, you can feed one raw and one kibble. Never feed together because they are digested completely different from each other. If you are feeding fruit or veges they should be pureed. Dogs cannot breakdown the fruit and veges, so they get little nutrients from them unless they are pureed.

I feed one meal of kibble and one of raw with dehydrated mix. Only issues I've run into is waiting the 5 mins after adding water. Apparently this is consider dog torture. The up side is that Taver's stay is getting better.

One of my Newfs gets raw in the morning and kibble at night. I used to feed him raw exclusively, but when he was showing it was too hard to bring the raw while camping. He does just fine, and loves his raw breakfast. Is waiting by the freezer each morning. I feed him SoJos mixed with ground beef and freeze the servings. He gets Orijen at night.
