Graceless One Strikes Again

OK, today I was really provoked! Gracie and Lucky "rasslin" in the living room, knock over the Grandfather clock! This is close to having them knock over a china cabinet!full moon you say? But, on the positive side, the glass didn't break and I am going to have to have clockman come to the house for repairs anyway. I was sooooo mad! I think Gracie thought I was going to really shoot her this time...of course I have no gun...but I haven't told her that. And she sat on the cat again this morning...and she was countersurfing again this evening. This is not one of our better days. And yesterday, for the first time in a couple of months...she peed on the living room floor! Can we say testing?!

OMG! If Hope sees this, she'll try to one better Gracie! Last night she managed to get Kevin's electic razor off the sink, get the head off of it and proceed to destroy it. When Kevin walked in I told him he needed either a new razor or a new head. Funny thing was...he didn't even blink an eye when I told him. She also has this thing for getting the bar of soap out of the tub and carries it around in her mouth. Now, that CAN'T taste good, but I have had to retrieve the soap about 4 times from her this week alone. Doesn't quite compare to the granfather clock...but..you're not alone! ;)

Now I don't feel so bad, mine knocked over my grandfather clock too, I have a baby gate to block off the living room, so that I can open the front door without have three maniacs rush the door and they all fight for who's going to get to look over the gate first, and my grandfather clock is against that wall, and of course they knocked it over, broke off the top and it hit the opposite wall and put a nice dent in the wall as well, it's nice to know I'm not alone!!

Remember the scene in "Mary Poppins" where the Admiral next fires his cannon twice a day? I loved the scene where everyone around the Bank's home runs and grabs on to breakables and other fragile things so that they don't break during the blast.

It sort of reminds me of this story! LOL! What was that Admiral's name? Would be a great name for a Newf!!!!

Well hud and rita are here again, sailor dropped them off yesterday morning, they both ran right to the door and wanted in the house. LOL
so not even five minutes after erin left, and rita was in the house, a roll of toidy paper bit the dust, exploded all over, not comparable to grandfather clock at all! sorry bout that one! than she decided it was ok to jump on counter, wich we had another stare down session, and i won that, and things are hunky dory, this morning, her and hud were exhibiting sheer pleasure at the actions of digging to china at the front of the yard.
at least my house is still standing.
kelly, you and mtnmom have the funniest stories!

Rita just got my check book register, ARRGGGGGG

Newfies are so much like children, aren't they?
Yet even tough they get in so much trouble, we love them so dearly.

Our family room/kitchen definitely is showing the battle scars!

Our nice, stainless Amana refrigerator has a nice gash and dent in the front of it...from the floor lamp that they knocked over, or maybe it was the chair that flew backwards.

The kids were running around the kitchen table, and playing "catch me if you can"...well, they caught the chair and the lamp. ARGH,

When the wild bunch is here, like they were yesterday, we have a cry that goes up in the family room. When someone yells "lamp" whoever is next to the floor lamp grabs it, because one of the five has hit it and it's about to go down. BTW I knew there was a reason I never got a grandfather clock. DH would surely kill!!!! Well, maybe not.

It was my dad's grandfather clock and I inherited it...would never have bought one...nor was it an expecially expensive one...but it did get me psyched! then whle babysitting at my daughters, one of the kids accidentally (and it was an accident) hit a chair that rolled down the stairs and knocked a hole in the landing wwall...after a very expensive custom paint job.

I've caught our Grandfather clock going over a couple of times. Luckily both times I was right there to grab it. Now Beau and the garbage can is another matter. Until I give up and put it up on the counter he won't leave it alone, no matter how many times he gets in trouble for it. Plus when he and Apache get to running around it can really be like a couple of bulls running loose in a china shop!!!
We usually try to get ourselves out of the way and worry about the furniture later!!

Stinson is just starting to "push" things out of her way. She is however the pack rat. Nothing is safe and you never know what she will bring you next. She's done soap, hair clips, our daughters plaster of paris art works, spatulas from the sink...the list goes on. The only thing they are really good at knocking over are the plant stands. At least now with the bamboo floor replacing the rugs they are easier to clean up. :D

Sorry about all of your heirlooms and goodies. Gloria doesn't rowdy about, but she does countersurf. Ate 1/2 a bag of chips today and hamburger buns yesterday. I just got her the first of March, and she is REALLY beginning to feel at home now. True, we do love them dearly. Jackson used to rush into the house like a maniac, and even though he knocked everything askew, I honestly just always stood there and laughed because my house isn't large, and he looked like the true bull in the china shop. It was just so funny to see his big butt rounding the table in a fast frenzy!!
Anyway, sorry for all the tremors around your houses right now!

Ok
so i think rita upped one on hope
last night loud loud thunder boomers, didnt let them out a last time, theyu never would have gone.
so i hear the gait to the upstairs, fall over, some horrible early early time of the morning, i assumed, and that is where i went wrong, that she knocked it over laying on her back, she has done that a lot, but duhhhhh
she likes the upstairs.
jason is up there.
she likes jason, jason worked last night.
so i hear her pouncing around, i call her down, she comes down like a good girlie.
i told jason i hope she didnt do anything, i didnt have time to check by the time he got home, sure enough, peed on our new bed.
good thing for pillow tops, i poured the bleach cleaner on it, it soaked in with water, took a towel squished it all out, and it smells clean clean, but rita, was in trouble with jason, he was so mad, took her stuck her nose in it before i cleaned it, and she knew what she did, bad bad bad , so i took her downstairs, and made her lay by the dirty sheet and pad, she looks at you with such dammed beagle eyes, it aint fair i tell ya, just aint fair.
