Thanks for the info. Ours is OK. We just used one for the 1st time last week on Orka. He was acting peculiar, drinking a huge amount, very restless, and his stomach was rumbling and gurgling loudly. Lynn popped a gel Gas X down his throat; he was compliant; and in about 5 minutes the stomach noises stopped and he settled down. So we learned he tolerates it.
Terrified of bloat, have a friend with a Newfie who bloated; he got her into the emergency vet in time, surgery, stomach tacked now, and he described her behavior which was lots of play, lots of drinking and stomach rumbling sounds, then trying to vomit. So I wanted to try the Gas X since it is recommended if one suspects beginning bloat symptoms. Orka's tummy was never distended.
