Sorry, Gary I think you have lost (or gained) on this battle. Nothing like "man and his dog (male)". Whatever is decided Bear is in a loving home, something he needs. He probably would love having all those sisters too! :D

That walk with 4 newfs sounds like a wonderful sight to behold! I've been lurking on and off this website for a year or so. I've wanted a newf most of my life,( I had one as a child in the early '70's) and started doing the research last year.---How I ended up with a 15 month old Rottie/Shepard mix this summer , I'll never know. (I haven't lost sight of my dream, it's just put on hold for a while) I wanted to thank everyone out there for their wealth of knowledge and eagerness to share it. It helped me and my family during the adjustment period. Our CHER is the sweetest dog-- and she came crate trained and house broken to boot- not to mention the prettiest face . I believe her brother SONNY went to a family near the Vt. border. She has a wonderfully docile disposition, and that's what sold me on her. I don't mean to ramble on.... just wanted to give a note of thanks. Also a special thank you for all those foster moms and dads for your caring and consideration of dogs in need. By the way, Cher has just graduated from basic training, and is a perfect fit for us, what more could we ask for?
